Serangan Siber Melanda 100 Negara, Malaysia Perlu Berjaga-Jaga

Media Statement: CYBERJAYA 13 May 2017 The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is aware of the massive global ransomware cyberattacks that have hit nearly 100 countries since yesterday. As of 10am this morning, no attacks have been reported in Malaysia but MCMC is continuing to monitor the situation together with other enforcement agencies. Malaysians are therefore strongly urged to immediately take the following precautions; 1. To update their software to the latest patch, 2. To ensure that all hosts have enabled endpoint anti-malware solutions, 3. To immediately backup vital data to an external hard drive or cloud storage service, if they have not done so. At the same time, do not click on any suspicious links and report any incidents to the authorities as quickly as possible. #mcmc #skmm #cyberattacks
